Black Cat Day: Alasandra Ruth AlawineLarry Kay
As part of our series on Black Cats for National Black Cat Day Alasandra Ruth Alawine wrote:
Miss Yin (female) came to live with me as a very young kitten with her brother Yang (estimated to be around four weeks old) they were born into a feral cat colony that my friend and walking buddy manages.
Their mom was trapped for TNR, they let her go when they realized she had nursing kittens but she took off and abandoned the kittens. My friend asked me if I could take them for the weekend until the lady who did the TNR could take them on Monday. When Monday rolled around the lady who did the TNR refused to take them since they were sick and needed medicine.
One of the first blog post I did about the kittens is located here. Yin is one of the sweetest cats I have ever had and is fiercely loyal to her people and her fur siblings even the doggie ones. She keeps her brother Yang in line and will spend hours laying next to you when you don’t feel well.
When our senior cat Socks was dying of jaw cancer she was his constant companion.
Yin blogs at Alasandra, Alasandra, The Cats and Dogs and she is also featured in the book Black Cats Tell All: True Tales And Inspiring Images by Layla Morgan Wilde.
We are also featuring two black & white cats on our blog who need help: Marty and Ossie https://atcad.blogspot.com/
