Dog Recue Stories: Depressed Lefty Would Only Look at the Shelter Wall

By Jarissa Aquinde, Positively Woof Rescue and Adoption Story Editor
Lefty was rescued by the Animal Rescue League of Berks County (ARL) during a snow storm in December of 2013.
He was the SADDEST dog in the shelter and just faced the wall. When his soon-to-be forever mom knelt down beside his kennel, he perked up on his back legs, like he was trying to show her a trick. She was sold!
Now, Lefty is the HAPPIEST dog ever and loves ball and car rides! His name is Lefty because when he was found, his left ear was cut vertically, so now it flaps around (but doesn’t bother him).
