Hello, world! I’m Linda, an Jack Russell Terrier mutt! I’m from Montenegro and I want to share my story with you!

In this big, big world, there are so many doggies like me. People leave us on the street to fend for ourselves. I was only a month and a half when I found myself on the street with my brother and sister. We were abandoned by our former humans who we thought loved us. Then one day, they left, and we didn’t even have our mother to care for us.

It was really hard to survive on our own. Thankfully, some bigger, stronger dogs looked after us. They would take care of us and feed us. However, most people who saw us on the street ignored us. We tried to play with them, but they looked at us like we were just toys.

It was summer and the days were very, very hot in Podgorica, the Capital City of Montenegro. The street was so hot that we burned our little paws. Worst of all, we were still alone. We were trying to find a new, safe place when suddenly, two people drove past us. I can’t tell you why, but I just jumped in front of their car! Luckily, I wasn’t hurt and these lovely people took me, my brother and my sister with them!

When we got to their house, it was like heaven! There was food for days! We were finally safe and our bellies were full. Then one day, my sister disappeared. I later found out that she found a new, forever home! So, it was just my brother, me, and the two amazing people who saved us.

Then, a nice girl came to visit me. She was very happy and excited about something. She was also a bit weird, but that doesn’t matter! I had no idea who she was or why she was there, but I was curious. When she started to play with me, I immediately fell in love with her. After a little while, she scooped me up in her arms, and I headed to my new forever home.

I’ve been in my forever home for about a year, and since then, we adopted one more street friend. Now, we are known as ‘Double the Trouble Team.’ A team full of happiness, a team who spreads love, a team who is totally crazy. My mum is very passionate about travel, photography and hiking and we always get to go with her. I will never be alone again.
