From now to November 30th, The Lange Foundation is holding an Estate Sale! The funds from this annual Estate Sale event help cover their operating costs for their two kennels and facilities, where they care for over 300 animals!
The Lange Foundation (a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization), was founded in 1993 by Gillian Lange, recipient of the 1980 City of Los Angeles St. Francis of Assisi Award for her rescue work with impounded animals since 1974. Lange also founded the Amanda Foundation in 1975. To date, the two Foundations have rescued and placed over 25,000 cats, dogs and horses who would otherwise have been destroyed in overcrowded public animal shelters.11900086_1017634111615387_6774529398921286439_n
Here are just four of the adorable, amazing, adoptable dogs from Lange Foundation:

BO – “Bo is a fantastic 3 year old German Shepherd mix that was surrendered to the Lancaster shelter by his family. They kept him outside all the time and he would try to escape the yard. This was too much for them to fix or handle so they took him to the shelter. We can understand why he would be trying to escape, because Bo loves being around people!! He desperately wants a home where he can be inside alongside the family. He is good with children, a great walker and a social boy! Come by and meet Bo!!”bo

MILEY – “Miley is a sweet 5 year old girl who was turned-in to the Lancaster shelter very matted and not well cared for. She is sweet, but a little shy at first. She likes to go out on walks and is getting more comfortable every day. She looks like she was being used for breeding as she has had litters in the past, and as a result, had a mammary mass that was removed and thankfully benign! She is very sweet and loving and does well with other dogs. She would be an easy girl to bring home!”miley
Marigold – “This puppy was turned-in to the Lancaster shelter with a fractured arm and abrasions on her head. Fortunately her fracture wasn’t too displaced and didn’t require surgery. She does have a cast on and is on cage rest for a few weeks until she is healed. She is extremely sweet and is so little that she weighs under 6 lbs!”marigoldDESMOND – “Desmond is our sweet Shih Tzu that came from the Palmdale shelter. He is a great dog that is excited to meet new people and ready to snuggle with someone on the couch. He is getting used to walking on a leash but has already improved tremendously.”desmond

From now to November 30th, The Lange Foundation is holding an Estate Sale! The funds from this annual Estate Sale event help cover their operating costs for their two kennels and facilities, where they look after approximately 300 dogs, cats and horses. This year has been tough financially – the recent devastating Sand Fire nearly destroyed their St. Bonnie’s Sanctuary. All of their 124 animals were safely evacuated by their extraordinary Sanctuary staff and volunteers, and the heroic firemen on the ground and in the air saved their buildings, even though the flames came within 6 feet of their kennel and their barn. Now, the Foundations are faced with the cost to mitigate damage from the mudslides that are expected during the rainy season.estate-sale-1

The Estate Sale store will be open every Wednesday through Sunday from 10am til 4pm, through the month of November.
