If you have a dog,, chances are he or she loooooooves peanut butter. In honor of National Peanut Month we reached out to pet bloggers we love to ask them to share their favorite peanut butter dog treat recipes. Honestly, my pets love me, but they don’t love me quite as much when I am messing around in the kitchen. I leave the dog treat recipes to the professionals!

First up, Rosalyn Acero of Golden Woofs shared this recipe for Peanut Butter Banana Dog Cakes. Yum! I read the recipe and wondered, “If I make these, should I taste test them first?” They are all delicious ingredients after all. I’ll keep you posted!

To find, and make, the recipe that that Rosalyn baked up, please go to Golden Woofs to check it out.

A little background on the origins of National Peanut Month (you know, if you’re out playing trivia and if it comes up): National Peanut Month started out as National Peanut Week in 1941; it expanded to a month long celebration in 1974. What is a peanut? Is it a nut? No. A peanut is a member of the pea or legume family. In the South, many people refer to peanuts as goobers.
